While I was working as an instructional designer for a large training firm, I was asked to help my manager complete a report she had been tasked to create. She had a specific outline in mind, and for the most part, I tried to stick to it, although I recommended a few changes I felt were needed.

I did the research, then wrote the content and indicated certain layout features and illustrations. The first layout was not acceptable, nor were the images, so I requested a favorite designer on staff redo it and discussed what was needed. While we both would have loved to do something more trendy, companies have their established styles and colors. The end piece is a clean, highly readable and easy to access report.
